Version compatibility

Use compatible Angular packages before installing @angular-bootstrap/ngbootstrap. This guide describes the published v2.5.0 package.

DependencySupported rangeWhen needed
Angular core, common and forms21.x or 22.xRequired. Keep Angular packages on matching versions.
RxJS^7.8.0Required peer dependency.
Bootstrap CSS5.xRequired base styles. Bootstrap JavaScript is not needed.

Check an existing app

Run npm ls @angular/core @angular/common @angular/forms rxjs and resolve peer-dependency conflicts before upgrading. Select a Node.js version supported by your Angular CLI. Components and directives are standalone imports.

Angular Material is not required for any palette. Theme integration explains the optional CSS-variable mappings.
