Masked Input WAI-ARIA Support
Masked Input uses a native text field with fixed-format validation and normal keyboard focus order.
Roles, states and properties
These describe the installed implementation. ARIA communicates meaning; keyboard handlers and application code provide the interaction.
| Element | Semantics | Behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Input | native text input, label, aria-describedby, aria-invalid | Labeling and error associations are applied to the native editor. |
| Read-only and disabled | native readonly and disabled | Read-only values remain selectable; disabled controls leave the tab order. |
Current limitations
- ASCII slots only; no dynamic masks or country detection.
- IME input is validated after composition; non-ASCII text is rejected.
