Splitter WAI-ARIA Support
Splitter handles support keyboard resizing and expose their orientation and current size.
Roles, states and properties
These describe the installed implementation. ARIA communicates meaning; keyboard handlers and application code provide the interaction.
| Element | Semantics | Behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Resize handle | separator, tabindex="0" | Each handle is keyboard focusable. |
| Size and direction | aria-orientation, aria-valuemin, aria-valuemax, aria-valuenow | Values describe the controlled pane size. |
Current limitations
- Handles do not currently provide a pane-specific accessible name or aria-controls relationship. These require a library API change.
- Home/End shortcuts are not implemented.

Compare your workflow with the W3C authoring pattern. The pattern describes the target interaction, not a guarantee of current component support.
